Before your booking…
| Skin
If you have a beauty therapist or dermatologist you see regularly, then follow your treatment plan to achieve glowing and flawless skin!
If you are more DIY or Fuss-Free Bride then here is a simple guide to follow:
– At home deep cleansing or exfoliating masks for your skin type are best done no later than 1 month before your booking.
– At home intense moisturising or hydrating masks for your skin type can be done right up to the night before your booking.
– Don’t try any new products that may cause skin irritations the month of your booking. If you are unsure always perform a test patch or consult a beauty therapist or dermatologist.
– Don’t forget the rest of your body as well!
Remember: A well hydrated and smooth skin is best for the wear and finish of your makeup.
| Eyes
Eyebrow waxing and tinting, eyelash tinting and lifting or eyelash extensions should be done at least 48-72 hours prior to your booking. This is in case of any mishaps and allowing enough time for any skin sensitivities to settle down.
| Lips
Lip waxing and lip exfoliation should be done at least 48-72 hours prior to your wedding day. This is in case of any mishaps and allowing enough time for any skin sensitivities to settle down.
| Fake Tanning
Fake tans should be done 24-48 hours prior to your booking. This is in case of any mishaps and allowing enough time for at least one cleanse and moisturise before your booking to avoid fake tan residue staining and removal if required. If you are unsure always perform a patch test or consult a fake tan specialist.
| Nails
False nails, manicures or pedicures should be done as close to your booking as possible. This is in case of any mishaps and reducing the risk of chipped or broken nails.
| Makeup Trials
Makeup trials are a great way to create your perfect bridal makeup and ensure you look and feel your best on your wedding day. Trials go for 1 hour and 15 minutes and are most beneficial if booked in for a special event at a similar time we will be doing your makeup on your wedding day. This is so you can trial the longevity and look of the makeup.
The week leading up to your booking…
If you have a run sheet or photographer/videographer timeline, please email that through to me so we can double check your booking time fits in with your day. I will then prepare a schedule of makeup applications for your booking and confirm your booking details.
If you have not had a trial, please make sure you have sent me through any colour swatches of colour themes and pictures of makeup looks you like.
The morning of your booking…
To the best of your ability try not to apply any makeup the morning of your wedding day. Follow your skin care routine and ensure there is no makeup residue or mascara remaining. If you are staying in a hotel or motel, please make sure you (or you have assigned someone to) send me your room number. I will arrive 5-10 minutes early to set up ready to start on time.
After your booking…
I gift all my Brides with a Makeup Touch Up Bag which contains blotting sheets, a lipstick and a mini lash glue (if required). If you haven’t booked me for a Touch Up Service then it is advised to arrange a lipstick for your bridesmaids (or other family members in your booking) to touch up throughout the evening. There will also be the option for your bridesmaids to purchase for $19.95 a Shanghai Suzy lipstick (selected from stock on hand) at your booking.
Remember: Never wipe or scratch, always pat or tap!
If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to book in for a trial, please feel free to contact me!
