I know I’ve said it a hundred times already, but I am truly honoured to be a Finalist for Makeup Artist of the Year in the 2017 Australian Beauty Industry Awards. This was my first year in the competition and even though I didn’t win, I am incredibly proud to have achieved Top 3 in Queensland and Top 10 in Australia!
The ABIA Gala Awards dinner at Sofitel on Darling Harbour in Sydney was an event I will never forget! Thank you to all my friends, family and creative family for your continued support and everyone who sent me well wishes and words of encouragement!
To top it off I had the pleasure of meeting Becca Gilmartin, previous Makeup Artist of the Year, Beauty Editor at Laud Magazine and Creative Director of the Face 2 Face Makeup Awards. Chatting with Becca gave me much needed encouragement to develop my artistry into my own, build my brand and to put Townsville, North Queensland on the map for Creative Industries!
